I know you have been
doing this for many years and clients come and clients go. You might
not be able to understand the "story" behind some of those who come
to fish with you but I want you to know that this wasn't just an ordinary
fishing trip. This was a once in a lifetime experience with my Mom and
me. We rarely get enough time to spend with each other and with her
age and failing health, this could be the last big adventure. We had
high expectations for a good time and I worried that everything wouldn't
go just so.
I still can't tell you enough how much we appreciated your attentiveness
and companionship during our incredible stay. I interact with folks
from all over the world and always enjoy getting to meet new people
but I really have to say this was different. After only spending a few
days with you, I feel comfortable calling you both friends and hope
we can continue to communicate and get together in the future---sorry
if the spontaneous hug I gave Joe startled him.... :).
You have no idea how important this trip was for Judy. You made this
special time all the more special with your terrific service and more
importantly, your genuine participation in our experience. Judy started
crying when she landed that Salmon in an expression of ultimate joy.
When Joe hugged her, it completed the experience for her and I know
he felt the power of seeing her so happy. Having you actively participate
in our once in a lifetime opportunity added an incredible touch to our
time in Homer.
Thanks so much for joining our experience and I hope the joy you saw
us experience motivates you to continue to do the great work you do
which is to bring families together sometimes under very sad and trying
circumstances, and ensure they have fun.
We used your Halibut recipe tonight and it was outstanding! We'll send
you Barb's honey glazed Salmon recipe soon and please look me up when
you are in town for the show next winter.
I want to look at dates to come back with at least Barb and Javan. I
know you want 4 to do the Lingcod/yellow eye trip but maybe we can work
something out.
There is about 3 trays of Halibut at Coal Point waiting for you so make
sure you get to enjoy some fish this year!
Keep us posted on how the fishing goes for the rest of the summer. Tell
Boog we said hello, really enjoyed our conversations and thanks to Dave
for letting us use his generator, made the second day go off without
a hitch.
